Somehow two years have flown by since this beautiful, intimate backyard ceremony. Happy anniversary Josh and Autumn!! There are a few weddings that Paul and I have photographed, that I know I will remember every detail of for years to come. This sweet event is one of those rare occasions. I’m not sure if it was watching a community of family and friends show up and pour out, loving on these two and making such a gorgeous day happen without a hitch. It may be the amazing redemptive story that God wrote in their actual meeting and relationship; a blended family that felt more like blood from the very beginning. Or, maybe, these days my heart is just simply focused on the part of marriage that truly matters, and I know these friends have the type of love that’s the real deal.

As COVID restrictions and limitations has hit the events industry pretty hard this summer, I thought it was the perfect time to show off what a gorgeous micro wedding and intimate backyard ceremony can really look like. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the ceremony was private and special. Autumn’s son, Roman, was honored by Josh with special vows and a tiny little ring that left us all in tears, while these two pledge vows to each other that were sincere and genuine.  The reception was an open house style potluck, full of joy, laughter and the sweetest mommy and son dance I’ve ever seen.  Moments like these remind me that it’s not about the best plated dinner, live band or perfect linens… but rather love and a marriage commitment made with sincerity and joy.
