Caitlin and Mark made it to their wedding day! After dating for 6 years, no one could have guessed that a pandemic would be the thing to test their relationship in the final stretch before they got married.
One of the interesting things for Paul and I in this season is getting to see the true colors of our clients. It’s easy to be giddy and joyful when planning is care free and you’re on cloud9 from just being engaged… but what does it look like when everything you’ve been planning goes sideways? Your showers and parties cancelled or held virtually? When all your guests are instructed to wear masks and hand sanitizer becomes a centerpiece decoration? Your venue is forced to adhere to strict mandates, you relocate your event and then even your priest is quarantined the week of your wedding due to COVID exposure? Well my friends… this is what it looks like. Joy. Happy tears. Peace. Sincerity.
You see, what I had the privilege of learning about Mark and Caitlin is that they are the real deal. Their love isn’t fragile and they are building their marriage on things that matter. Was there some stress involved the last few months? Assuredly, yes. But this laughter and joy was absolutely worth the ride.
From getting to see their gorgeous new home in the morning, to sending them off on a friend’s private property, this wedding celebration and this couples’ perseverance will always be a day I remember. Enjoy some of our favorites below! // Mark and Caitlin, we wish you all the very best in this new life together! What a blessing it was to witness your vows and celebrate with you… thank you for reminding my why I love this job so much. You are both so special!
Thank you to the amazing vendor team, friends and family who all helped jump every hurdle the pandemic threw our way. What a wonderful day it was!
