When I met Leeann and Emmett for the first time together at their engagement session last fall, their love and their story captured me. I would guess they have similar personalities with backgrounds in engineering, a quiet focus and authenticity that’s refreshing. The way they look at each other is so genuine and says so much without any words being spoken.

To say that session made me excited for their wedding this summer is an understatement! July proved to be a strange weather month for us here in then Bluegrass. Humidity, lots of rain and then a cold front. Unfortunately the cold front didn’t come until after Leeann and Emmett’s wedding. It didn’t matter though, this day was absolutely gorgeous! We started in a sweet little bed-and-breakfast off Bardstown Road which was close to their venues. The girls were all so sweet but tons of fun which always makes for a great morning. Paul met up with the guys at the new Omni Hotel in Louisville, and I’ve got to say we were both really impressed! The guys got ready in one of the suites with stunning views and the interior decor inside blew us away.

I think my favorite part of the Day was shortly after the couples first look. There’s just a sweet contentment I always feel come over the entire wedding party after those initial nerves are gone. The way Emmett looked at her was full of a quiet and peaceful joy and from there we all had a great day!
