As a family, we’re kicking off our summer vacation this weekend, but we just couldn’t leave before congratulating the new Mr. and Mrs. Gastinger! We celebrated in Louisville, Kentucky last weekend at Hazelnut Farm, and this venue is one of our favorites in town for SO many reasons! Nestled on the edge of east end Louisville, Hazelnut Farm boasts of both southern charm and elegant hospitality, with service and amenities that go way beyond even what you’d expect on such a special occasion. Hazelnut always feels like home, but with a couple like this, it feels like we’re celebrating with family as well.

Lindsey and John have been together for over 8 years! Their love is sweet, genuine and a little ornery- which we always enjoy. From senior prom, to living in Denver together, these two have been committed to growing both in their relationship and personally. To hear their friends and family speak about them was truly an honor to witness! I think however, my favorite part of the day may have been John’s double reaction. They had a sweet first look, which was just what they needed as a couple, but his reaction and tears as she walked down the aisle, did all of us in. It was such a personal and special moment and those are the times I treasure most as a wedding photographer.

Can we just pause and have a moment to “ooooh and awwww” over these getting ready suites? I love giving our couples a few quiet moments before they kick off the main part of their day, and these rooms are such gorgeous spots for those moments.

What. A. Night!! Congratulations Gastingers!! We had an absolute blast with you all and can’t wait to get all your gorgeous pictures back to you. We also have to give a huge shout out to the amazing vendor team that went above and beyond!
