I’m throwing it back on the blog today because we get to hang out with these two again this Friday! Dylan and Mackenzie had a blustery, fall engagement session at Falls of the Ohio last year. These two met in high school and dated long distance for over three years. For the last year, they finally enjoyed a short distance from Louisville to Lexington as they finished school. I think it’s safe to say, they can’t wait to be married and live in the same city!!

When Dylan knew it was time to propose, Mackenzie was living in Lexington working during the summer. He surprised her by driving up unannounced and decorating her backyard with pictures and flowers! When she got home from church and found him waiting for her on the porch, he didn’t hesitate asking for her hand. Not only was the proposal a surprise, but all their friends and family came into town to celebrate with them that night.  It’s not common that we see such a good secret keeper!

When it came time for their engagement session, we knew we wanted something playful and sweet, just like them. The Falls of the Ohio proved to be a gorgeous park with pops of color, the Louisville waterfront and a chilly breeze that was perfect for snuggling. We can’t wait to hang out with these two again this weekend and exchange the fall color for some summer blooms! Their wedding is going to be absolutely gorgeous, and I know the emotions will be just as genuine. Congratulations you guys! You all are the real deal and I’m so honored to get to witness your marriage this weekend; we can’t wait to celebrate together!
