Cheers for summer Lexington engagement sessions! As the calendar is filling up for our 2019 wedding season, I’m so excited when we actually get to spend time with our incoming couples!! Tracey and Austin spent their college years at EKU together, but met back when they were only 14!
I love how Tracey describes the way they met! “I always love to tell this story. Austin and I had a mutual friend, sorta. Well, that mutual friend also happened to be my best friend at the time. It was the very beginning of summer, June 2nd, if I remember correctly and my best friend and I were hanging outside of her house. I do not remember who had the bright idea first but we decided to switch phones and suggested that we text the very first person in each others phone. Well, you may have guessed it – Austin was the first person in her contacts. I texted him and said something along the lines of my name and why I was texting him. We hit it off and I gave him my actual phone number, from there we texted constantly. He proceeded to tell me that he was currently in Daytona, Florida on vacation but that we should meet up at St. Lawrence picnic when he gets back. So we texted every day until it was finally time to meet up, we met in person on June 11th, 2010 and became “boyfriend and girlfriend” on June 14th, 2010 and I suppose as they say…the rest is history.”
June 15th of next year will mark 9 years of these two being together and it seems like the perfect time to celebrate with a wedding! Enjoy a few of my favorites from our time exploring the gardens and estate of Ashland, preserved home of Henry Clay, in Kentucky. This Lexington engagement session is one of my favorites there so far this year!
