Friends… I thought it might actually happen. I had a tiny internal panic, where I thought I was about to witness my first wedding where the bride was late to her ceremony! While I may have been calm and collected on the outside, my inner voice was freaking out a bit. But leave it to this bride and her trauma nurse background, to remain calm, cool and collected in the face of a time crunch. In true Jennifer and Jason fashion, last Saturday was a whirlwind of laughter, craziness and a ton of fun! One of my second shooters, Autumn and I, headed out earlier in the morning to Hamilton, Ohio to meet up with the girls as they got ready. (If you’re local to the area, you must check out Emily with Salon Concepts in Cincinnati, Ohio!  She has the cutest little front window shop.)

We didn’t take a single portrait before the ceremony as we dashed from finishing makeup to the church, but that didn’t stop us from a gorgeous morning with an even prettier evening on the lake. I always love getting to witness friends and family love well on wedding days, and this day was no exception. You’ll get to see some of their care in just a minute, but first, let me take a moment and introduce to you for the first time, Mr. & Mrs. Begley!

This locket is a family heirloom and from Jennifer’s great grandmother Dot.  Inside is the only known picture of her great aunt Jill.

As the time was ticking away, and we were still 30 minutes from the church, you could definitely call this the mad dash of the day! Shout out to Autumn for grabbing these shots, and literally running out the door behind the girls, as I packed up and got the car ready to roll!

We made it! Saint Anne’s Church in Hamilton, Ohio proved to be a gorgeous venue! The light, walkways and architecture all added to the lovely atmosphere.

After the ceremony, we headed over to Voice of America Metropark in West Chester, Ohio. With a beautiful lake and grassy fields, it was a perfect place to end the evening!

Jenn’s engagement ring was from her great great grandmother DaDa. I love seeing a piece passed down in the family, such a beautiful reminder of those we love.

My favorite part of the day is when I get to sneak away with just the bride and groom for a bit. Even though it’s only about 15 minutes, just being able to sit, take a deep breath and have them soak in the fact that their married is priceless! The light was so good to us, too. VOA Park is a gem!

Congratulations to you, Mr. and Mrs. Begley! It was a lovely day and I’m so thankful I was invited to be apart of it.
