Brittany and Nic had a gorgeous May day in Paducah, Kentucky for their wedding. When I got the call that this couple was scaling down their wedding plans so they could put money towards a house and therefore moving it up by 5 months, I had a mix of emotions. ‘I’m so proud of that decision!’ ‘Ah! Am I still available?’ ‘What about that gorgeous barn venue?’  ‘Is this going to be stressful to pull it off so quick?’ (Of course, I shared none of those with her as we found the ONE May or June option that worked for me! And yet, time and time again, I’m reminded that when you’re committing to spend the rest of your life with the one you love, little else matters. Their day was gorgeous, full of emotion, intimate, sweet and ultimately a really special moment they’ll always treasure. We had some sweet time together in the morning before they wed, and it was so lovely to see them both take a big breath and soak in each other. Here are just a few little snippets of their day!

Isn’t that ring gorgeous?! I have to pause here for a special tribute below. The bride’s mother had a very personal surprise addition to Brittany’s bouquet; a handkerchief belonging to her sweet grandmother who is battling Alzheimers. It was a flood of emotion when Brittany realized what is was, and, I thought, a perfect soft touch as she held it close all day long.
