Some wedding days are just a little extra special for us, and this LaGrange Kentucky Wedding is no different! Welcome to our church! Many of you may not know, but on top of being our second shooter and operating partner of Uniquely His Photography, my husband Paul also works as a Technical Director for our church. While I grew up seeking and knowing about God, ministry was never really on my radar. Nor was a true relationship with Jesus. I didn’t really get it to be honest. When Paul told me he felt called to leave his corporate job for a position at church, after my initial shock, I can honestly say that 5 years later it has totally changed our family and our individual lives!
What does that have to do with this wedding? Well… these are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Blakeley, the glowing bride of the day, is the daughter of our campus pastor, and this family is who we got to celebrate with all day long. These are people who have continually pointed us to Jesus, loved us through hard seasons and ultimately showed us how real ministry is. They aren’t perfect, but this day nearly was. Elijah always has a smile on his face and a joyful heart, and Blakeley is just smitten around him. Knowing they are rooted in the truth as they begin their marriage is such a blessing! I think more than a few of us shed tears during the ceremony.
Having known each other through high school, Blakeley and Elijah often had mutual friends, but it wasn’t until touring in a worship band together during their first year of college that they began to realized there was more to this relationship than friendship. To watch them grow and mature together during the last year has been so sweet, and I know that this first year of marriage will sharpen then even more. These are just a few of our favorite images from this LaGrange Kentucky Wedding, but I hope you enjoy the sweet afternoon that we got to spend together. We love you, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman, and are praying for your marriage and your legacy already!!
The girls started the day at the families home, complete with dance challenges, Father of the Bride and of course a bit of musical serenading.
“Wow, a true princess!” I just love this sweet little flower girl’s reaction after Blakeley was ready! Her little gasp said it all.
Daddy and daughter first looks always make me cry… and this one was extra sweet as they both held back tears.
My favorite part of the day! The first look! This option gives couples so much more time together during their wedding day, I’m always so glad when they choose to share one together. Instead of spending more of the day in hiding from each other, they get to spend it laughing and treasuring every moment! We walked right down the street from church and met at the lovely City Place Expo Center for portraits.
When it’s super hot… and the ring bearer and flower girl are over it. Ha! We loved this crew.
